AFTER HOURS CLINIC
FOR ROSTERED PATIENTS ONLY

    Please note the following restrictions:

  • Patients are expected to FIRST call their OWN doctor's office during regular office hours to book an appointment

  • Only for ROSTERED patients in need of urgent care due to sudden onset of symptoms 

  • For non-urgent patient concerns (chronic or longstanding symptoms/issues, prescriptions renewals, forms completion, test result follow-up, things that require investigation, etc) you will be directed to make an appointment with your own physician.

  • By appointment only – this is NOT a walk-in clinic.

  • Call between 5:00 pm - 7:45 pm on the day of the clinic

Things you that you should be seeing your family doctor for (NOT THE AFTER HOURS CLINIC):

  • Preventive care (routine immunizations, annual physicals and pap smears)

  • Medication refills

  • Doctors Notes

  • Diabetes

  • Referrals

  • WSIB paperwork

  • Disability Forms (including Parking Permits, Disability Tax Credit, CPP)

 

When to Use After Hours Clinic

The After Hours Clinic is to be used if your family physician is away or you have the following symptoms and can not get an appointment within 24-48 hrs.

 

  • Upper respiratory problems

  • Sinus infection, sore throat or ear infection

  • Minor injuries, such as a burn

  • Non-life-threatening allergic reactions

  • NEW minor rash or skin infection

  • Bug bites, minor animal or human bites

  • Urinary tract infection

When to Go to the Emergency Room:

  • Chest pain or symptoms of heart attack (sweating and shortness of breath)

  • Symptoms of stroke (sudden dizziness, weakness, loss of coordination, balance and vision problems)

  • Injuries from a car accident

  • Head pain (sudden or severe) or head injury

  • Loss of consciousness (with or without head injury)

  • Severe cuts

  • Xrays, sutures, wound care

  • Abdominal pain (sudden or severe)

  • Choking

  • Poisoning

  • Uncontrolled fever

  • Foreign object in the eye

  • Bronchitis
  • Vomiting and/or diarrhea

  • Fever

  • Pink eye

  • Influenza

  • Sprains and strains

  • Headache

  • Anxiety and/or depression
